Technical Writer Profile

The candidate should have over 2 years of experience, preferably in information systems or information technology with an emphasis on technical documentation. You must possess proven skills in:

  • Developing Software Requirement Specifications
  • Writing case studies for the software projects
  • Documenting business requirement document for ongoing projects
  • Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation for current and future applications i.e., technical reference manuals, guides and user/technical manuals.
  • Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and/or product management during design phase to gain an understanding of the product. Analyze requirements of project to determine types of publications needed.
  • Recommend and implement improvements for greater efficiency.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

And you must have/be:

  • A degree in Computer Sciences or English Literature.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong technical background in software products documentation is required.
  • Well versed with authoring tools and MS Office
  • Internet Research skills
  • Ability to rapidly absorb technical information
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to interface, communicate, and translate information delivered by programmers
