TEO is a sponsor of Engineers Without Borders (Ingeniører Uden Grænser), Denmark Section.

Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is a technical humanitarian organization managed by a board chosen by its members. We wish to use our technical knowledge and skills to help people in areas of catastrophes and people in need.

We wish to secure "life after survival", which means that shortly after a catastrophe, life-preserving measures such as provision of clean drinking water, proper sanitation, accommodation etc, are re-established. We also use our technical knowledge to assist in situations of need, with technical humanitarian help.

EWB-Denmark was started in 2001 and has now grown to be an organization with 325 members. We are a non-profit organization, entirely financed by the subscriptions from members and contributions from public and private donors. The Secretariat of EWB-Denmark is staffed with one part-time manager who is assisted by a group of volunteers.

Based on our engineering and technical expertise, Engineers Without Borders works to render life- sustaining help to people in areas hit by catastrophes and to render technical assistance to areas in need.
